Sumter, SC- TheLINK Economic Development Alliance presents the 2nd annual Graduate to Greatness Hiring and Recruitment event for graduating high school seniors, Wednesday, April 26, 2023. More than 200 Students enrolled in high schools in Sumter and Lee Counties registered to participate in pre-selected face-to-face interviews with local companies and to meet with college and military recruiters during this all-day event (9a-2p). The purpose of Graduate to Greatness (G2G) is to solidify student’s plans after graduation. Only those seniors who have not declared post-graduation plans are invited to attend. “Graduate to Greatness gave me more than a job”, said Terrell Lewis, a 2022 graduate of Crestwood High School and a participant in last years’ inaugural event. “I interviewed with 4 companies and found my best match.” He continues to be employed with the company. Outside of interviewing, students will attend life skills enrichment workshops to prepare them for their future beyond high school. G2G is a collaborative partnership with TheLINK Economic Development Alliance, Sumter School District, Lee County School District and the SC Department of Commerce.
